I am going to start this post with a little bit of knowledge (or lack there of) that I have acquired this evening. I will start with the lineup of television shows I have subjected myself to this evening. It all started with the Flavor of Love (III) Casting special. Now mind you, there is nothing that I appreciate more, than a little trash tv. I, will admit to that. And I will admit to that with no hesistation. I could watch the trash on MTV & VH1 all day long, for days on end. While, I feel that i lose brain cells, by the millions, per hour of this trash that I watch, I watch it. Trash tv is my anti-drug.
H'okay, so I start to watch the Flavor of Love casting special. I suppose a small explanation for those of you who have not seen this would be in order. Safari (a classy [oober classy former competitor]), travels the country with the casting directors from the show and tries to find new women for Flavor-Flav to mack on in his third try to find the worlds classiest woman to marry him. And by classy, i mean trashy. Super--SUPER--trashy.
So, I imed one of my coworkers, Charlotte, to tell her to turn it on. She refused. She was watching Throwdown with Bobby Flay, they were making chocolate chip cookies. Char, still has all of her brain cells + some. I am at -1,472,385 cells.
So, I came to a really good solid conclusion in the midst of this episode, that everyone in my department at Facebook should have to watch this episode. I think that it would allow us to gain a greater appreciation for the general population. The pure stupidity, that is our nation...that are our users. So, for those of you at Facebook--who read this post, god bless your souls: go watch the repeat on vh1.com. You will suddently understand where I am coming from. TV-1, Krista-0. New season starts tomorrow. Get ready.
Then, Brett Michaels attempts to find his Rock of Love. It never ceases to amaze me, that it is possible to find so many trashy women, willing to go on national television and ruin their lives and reputations. Bah--give me a couple more years of watching these things and I too, will be so devoid of brain cells, that I may consider it. I waste my weekends watching trash tv, perhaps instead i should go look for a husband before my brain just rots to mush. meh...overrated. So, while these episodes were fairly tame, in comparison to some of the others I have seen, the lack of class and poise just never ceases to amaze me. TV-3, Krista-0.
So now, I continue to mush by brain, Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant. Theyre in Vegas, which will be my next fun big trip. Following Portland this weekend, Orlando in two weeks, Justines Graduation in May and the shore in July. Maybe September. Must walk away....must walk away. Bah! I cant find my remote, lost in the mess of couch coushins/my queen size comfortor, which has moved to the couch with me today. Now i have subjected myself to My Fair Brady (Maybe Baby.) I really need to find that remote. TV-5, Krista-0 [minus 1 remote]
I'm sick, kinda. Thus, the comfortor on the couch. Last night, I got a migrane. I don't think i have had a migrane since the summer after my freshman year of college. I layed on the floor. Ashley fed me tylenol. Shes a good roomate. Today, I woke up with heartburn. Who, at 23 years old, has heartburn. For a few minutes, I thought i was having a heart attack. I got on WebMd, that was not the case. I ate some tums. I feel better, sorta. On top of that nonsense, today, Mia bought me a bag of Piarates Booty. For those of you who dont know, Pirates Booty is this fun organic puffed rice/corn stuff, cheddar flavored, sold at Whole Foods. I have consumed the entire bag. Thats 600 calories of Pirates Booty. My mouth is sore. I suppose an entire bag of anything will do that to you. Gross. Really gross.
So, I suppose the post week wrap-up, outlook is in order. This past week was great. Monday night, my coworker Jenny and I went to see the Grateful Dead. After going to work early and thus getting out early, we drove up to San Francisco and parked the car. Jenny went for a run, because its 65* here, and Kathleen (her roomate and another coworker) and I went to Haight/Ashbury shopping/for dinner. I will say, I love the Haight. It is my kind of neighborhood. We saw a 60 year old man on a bicycle get arressted for smoking the wacky weed. He does not have trash tv as his anti-drug. After some shopping, we hit up this cool little place for Sangria and dinner. Post dinner, Jenny, another friend of hers and I made our way down to the Warfield for the Dead show. The willcall line was a mile long....literally a mile long. We got some sparks, rocked out with the hippies on the street, met a nice guy from Kansas, and got to experience the dead the way it should be :) in San Fran! The show, was AWESOME.
Tuesday, was Fat Tuesday. I called my Bobcie (Polish word from Gramma) to see if she was making donuts. She wasnt, but then again, she just had a double bipass, so i guess we can excuse her. She reminded me I had to go to church and give something up for lent. I suppose, it was a good thing she reminded me. Fat Tuesday was a ball, pretty low key in comparison to many of the nights of nonsense we've had. Came home early, got some rest, went to church, got my ashes and I'm all set to go.
Friday, Mia and I went back up to San Fran for the night. Hit up some pretty swanky places, not my style so much, but still nice. And then....to a karyoke bar. FANTASTIC. :) Makes me happy lol. Fun night, its great to start to actually do things out here. We've got it rolling and hopefully will keep it up.
So, this week. Friday, I am heading to Portland with my coworker Nandini. After telling her no, no, no, no, no, i am not going to Portland for a weekend. I gave in. So to Portland we go. I am, super psyched after realzing one of my friends from high school lives there. So super psyched to see you ryan!
I come back on Monday night. WOrk Tuesday/Weds. Off Thurs/Friday. Work Saturday-Thursday in the office and then, it is off to Orlando with Ellyn & Kyle for 11 days. I also get to see Justine on this trip, which will be very nice, since I havent seen her since christmas.
I suppose, I am done rambling for the evening. I have gone too far lol.
